CIF SS Champions!!

The Boys Varsity Track & Field Team won the CIF SS D4 adding to its Runner Up finish in 2005. Josh Miguel produced the greatest single performance in OC history adding almost four feet to his triple jump PR and won the triple jump title. The 4x100 also won defending its title from 2005. Chris Owusu, Marshall Jones, Anthony Gildon and Marc Tyler improved the OC Record to 42.25 and joined Josh as a CIF SS Master's Qualifier.

The girls place 5th, best in OC history, with a 1600 victory and 800 runner up form ROseanne Fleming. Lauren Radke won the Pole Vault then hustled to the start of the 4x400 where Rosie, Maggie Stanley and Samantha Roesler were waiting to run a OC Record and place 8th.

CIF SS D4 Prelims - recap

Lauren Radke improved her OC record in the pole vault and eclipsed the CIF SS D4 record in the process. Having secured a qualifying position Lauren elected to take a shot at 10-8 and successfully cleared the mark. Lauren is the #1 seed and favorite to win the CIF title. She was not done with the PR's, adding a personal best 26.75 in the 200m and qualifying 8th then led off the 4x400 relay with with a PR 1:03.5. The 4x400 of Lauren, Samantha, Maggie and Rosie also broke the OC record in the process running 4:16. Lauren started the day with the 100m.

Roseanne Fleming added a couple of PR's and qualified in two events. Rosie is the #1 seed in the 1600m with a personal best 4:16.07. She also won her 800m heat with a 2:18 qualifying as the #3 seed. RJ capped the day with a 1:00.4 anchor leg of the 4x400 OC record setting team. The relay is the first alternate for the finals.

Chris Owusu qualified in FOUR (4) events for CIF SS Finals, becoming only the second athlete in OC history to do so, and the first with a 4x100-400-200-4x400 combination. Aaraon Ware qualified and medealed in 4 events in 2002 (4x100-100-200-4x400). Chris PR'd in the 200m (22.58), 400m (51.27) and 4x400 (50.5) while leading off the #1 seeded 4x100.

Oaks Christian's Boys Win Frontier Team Titles

The Boys Varsity won its fourth consecutive league title. The only boys program in OC history to tally four (only softball has won won four). The boys varsity also have never lost a league meet in school history. Boys varsity track and softball are the only teams to remain undefeated in OC's history.

The boys frosh / soph added its second title in OC's four year stint in the Frontier League. Girls Varsity placed as Frontier Runner Ups. Next year all the teams will compete in the Tri-Valley League.
