Owusu, Jones, Reed Tri Valley Champions

Thu, May 3rd - At Carpinteria for the first TVL finals the Lions fought the wind and the highly competitive league format at the final regular season meet. Boys varsity move up a position in the final standings second overall. Girls lock up the third place finish. Girls JV moved from sixth to fourth with a third place finish in the TVL Finals.
Chris Owusu manages both a sore groin and two more league titles to run his career total to eight. Chris won his first 100m title and his second 200m title. Malcolm Jones tallied his first of hopfully many league titles winning the 110HH. Malcolm added two runner ups in the 300IH and shot put. Jeremy Reed won his second title, first in the triple jump. Jules Sharpe was runner up in the high jump. Justin Sullivan, Zach Davis, Brian Owusu and Scott Arellano place third in the 4x400 with a dramatic disqualification by St Bony's freshman anchor. He spiked the baton concluding the race. All of the above boys plus Spencer Daly (alternate in the 4x400) have earned post-season qualification.
Roseanne Fleming led the girls varsity effort with two runner ups in the 1600m and 800m. Lauren Radke and Keiosha Hunt earned runner ups in the pole vault and ssot put respectively. All three plus Shannon Armstrong who met the at-large standard in the high jump earned qualification for the post-season.
Tina Boskovich won the girls JV 800m with a PR 2:38.60. Morgan Temanson, Tina Boskovich, Fallon Cislo and Samantha Nordlund placed runner up in the GJV 4x400. Rachel Nosco was runner up in the GJV 100IH. Sam Nordlund was third in the GJV long jump. Kenny Ryhal-Holt was third in the GJV shot put.
