Fleming, Petrie lead OC at Fastback

In the day's first race Roseanne Fleming took the led in the first few strides and never reliquished it as she powered away to a OC course record 11:58. This is RJF's 11th career varsity race victory. Samantha Roesler established the third fastest time in OC history and #2 OC junior behind RJF with a 13:40. Morgan Temanson showed her talent with a 14:33, #4 OC junior behind RJF, SMR and Amber Meissner. Kayla Woo ran her first CC race ever witha 17:43. Other girls included Emily Fuld 16:05C and CC debuts by Jenna Smrz 22:06 and Sara Cavicchiloi 17:53.
The Junior Boys race second. Ethan Long (10:55) and Mike Colarossi (10:58) both elcipsed Kyle Block's OC record (10:59). Justin Sullivan and Rafael Garcia finished in 10:37 and 10:40 respectively. Greg Sadler and David Goeser rounded out the junior group in 12:11 and 12:28. The boys junior team finish was 6th of 27 schools.
Five sophomore boys bounce through the course led by Charlie Petrie who finished 6th in 10:43, snatched the OC record for Ethan. Hunter Hays was close in a 10:56. Nick Matra, Anders Reimer and Dylan Bond completed the team effort in 13:06, 13:17 and 13:27. The sophomore team place was 12th of 26 schools.
Nick Colarossi added to the accolades with a 4th place finish and 11:25 in the freshmen race, posting the #5 time for OC on the day. Other boys included Kevin Sutman's CC debut 15:19 and senior Tyler Temanson's 12:02.
Both the boys and girls established school records for team times. The boys combined (fastest 5) ranked 11th on the day overall (all divisions). RJF was the third fastest girls on the day all races combined.
